When the KleenSlate Concepts staff decided to create a slogan for their company, the words they wanted came quickly: “We Believe in Better!”
Why? Because the inventor spirit is at the heart of the company.
What do inventors do? They think about how to make things better. Consider how inventors worked to improve communication in this sequence of modern inventions: the telegraph; then the telephone and eventually the mobile phone.
When Julia Rhodes, KleenSlate’s CEO, was teaching language arts to middle school students, she wanted a better way to erase the white board. The story of her invention is wonderfully told in her book The Right Sisters, along with stories of nine other women inventors, all of whom had visions and dreams and took risks big and small to make their dreams come true.
Dreaming and doing are integral to the inventor. Since starting KleenSlate Concepts, Julia has not only infused her business with the imagination necessary for ongoing product development, she has devoted a great deal of energy to encouraging other inventors—especially women inventors—along the entrepreneurial path.
To get a taste of the Julia’s message, listen to a recent interview on Women’s Business: Talk Radio Network. The show—Wish it! Dream it!—is hosted by Rebecca Cohen another woman who walks the talk in terms of pursuing her dreams.
KleenSlate Concepts is dedicated to developing quality, innovative products based on customers’ needs. To learn more about product development at KleenSlate, take a look at these blog posts: We Respond to Customers: Part 1 & Part 2.
We take the KleenSlate Concepts’ slogan seriously:
