Partners In Education

Building Strong Schools Together

In 2009, KleenSlate developed its Partners in Education (PIE) program to help schools generate funding to purchase KleenSlate Paddles.  The program encourages corporations, businesses, and other donors to allocate charitable funds for the purchase of KleenSlate Paddles in schools of their choice.

Participating businesses supply local schools with classroom sets of the award-winning dry erase paddles. Each paddle is imprinted with the sponsor’s name or business logo. A booklet of suggested curriculum-driven ideas accompanies the paddles.

PIE is a mutually beneficial program that supports both schools and businesses.. Corporations and other business organizations get tax deductions and meet diversity goals because of their participation. Schools get paddles with the proven benefit of improved learning measurable in test scores.

The first trial of the program in California provided padd les to schools in Sonora, Oakdale, Santa Rosa, Stockton, Fresno, Ukiah, San Francisco and Oakland.   Success was measured by improved test scores in each of these schools.

Partners in Education allows corporate sponsors to know specifically where their charitable monies spent. And it is clear that their dollars are making a real difference in classrooms.  This is a charitable program with metrics. It is simple, inexpensive, and effective.
