FAQ

How do I clean my whiteboard?

To clean your whiteboards simply use the microfiber cloth included with your paddles. For harder to clean surfaces add a small amount of soap to water and create a simple solution for the microfiber cloth to wipe your board clean. We have also found that when all else fails, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will come through every time.

Avoid commercial cleaning solutions & sprays on whiteboards because the chemicals in these products will slowly deteriorate the surface of any whiteboard. Using soap and water or a non-chemical cleaner prolongs the life of dry erase surfaces, saves money, and is environmentally friendly. When dry-erase ink is left too long on the whiteboard, it becomes more difficult to erase and even permanent. Use a KleenSlate Dry Erase Marker to write over the top of the old marks. Let the ink dry fully and then erase. Repeat if needed.

How many colors does my classroom set come with?

Each classroom set of 12 whiteboards come with (6) colors, (2) of each per set (blue, yellow, green, red, orange, pink). If you'd prefer a different amount of colors, we would be happy to customize your order. Just email us at shelly@kleenslate.com.

What if the surface is damaged or beyond cleaning?

Don't Worry! Never throw away a KleenSlate Board. You can purchase replacement parts like peel-n-stick dry erase surfaces and peel-n-stick dry erase sleeves to keep your whiteboards looking new and extend the life of your boards for years!

Can I use other Markers on your whiteboards?

We can't guarantee other markers won't stain our boards. Dry erase markers are tricky, which is why we go the extra mile to make the best dry erase markers with eraser for the classroom. Also we will price match when you are looking to buy more markers. Note: CLIP in the handle of our Boards only fits KleenSlate dry erase markers.

What size are the templates?

The templates are 9.5 x 7.5. This is smaller than the standard 8.5x11 size paper. You will just need to cut the templates out after they are printed. To do this, just download and print the templates from KleenSlate.com. Simply cut at the black lines that are pre-formatted to the correct size. We also suggest using the card stock template that comes with our whiteboard as a guide to slide in other templates that you create.

Can we request specific templates?

Yes. However, please check our selection of templates in the Template Tab of the website first. If you do not see what you are looking for, please send a suggestion to joe@kleenslate.com. Be as specific as possible and include any pictures or helpful notes. We then place those templates back on our “Free Template Tab” so others can use them too.

Can we make our own templates?

Absolutely! If you'd like to create your own, please download the create-your-own template, which has the pre-formatted lines for you to cut.

How how long do your markers last?

Our NEW dry erase markers with erasers have 48hr Cap Off Technology, 1.6gm of ink and our marker points DON’T PUSH IN! Teachers go through around 1-2 markers, per student, per year with everyday use. However results will vary depending on storage and use. For optimal performance, story dry-erase markers horizontally.

How do you store your markers when not is use?

For optimal performance, story dry-erase markers horizontally.

Can you use your markers on other dry erase surfaces?

Absolutely. Our markers can be used for all dry erase surfaces.

What should I do if my marker doesn't write or appears to have dried up?

The shelf life of our markers, when not in use and storing them horizontally, is 12 months. If you want to make sure you get all the ink out, stand it up with eraser cap and pen point down overnight. We call this the flip and tip! If there is still ink in the barrel, it might revive.
